School communication is constantly changing. We have seen paper newsletters replaced by email newsletters, fridge calendars replaced by Outlook, landlines replaced by Iphones, notebooks replaced by online blogs. And in 2018, we see school communication changing again. Parents now seek a more simplified form of school communication, and are increasingly turning to their mobile phones for all-in-one solutions.
“Parenting: If you’re not tired, you’re not doing it right”
We all know those super-human parents who wake up early, get their kids to school and clubs and sports games, cook dinners and pack school lunches, all on top of working a 9-5 job. With so much to do, parents can’t always find the time to go onto a school website and look for all the latest information concerning their child.
With that said, there are very few parents today who don’t use a smart phone on a daily basis. Apps are fast becoming the dominant feature in people’s lives and parents now seek instant communication, pushed right to their smartphone. This is why Scholantis is proud to announce the release of our new parent communication app, Sangha.
What is Sangha?
Sangha is just like sending a package with a tracked delivery – it is a way to ensure what you are sending makes it on time, to the correct place.
Sangha was designed for parents, by fellow parent Pavan Batchu. The concept of Sangha originated when his daughter was unable to attend a field trip because he forgot to sign and return a permission slip. Pavan could not believe that in 2017 this was still possible. How, he asked himself, with all the technology out there, had he managed to miss this permission slip?
With a tech background himself, having worked in senior positions for companies like Skype and Yahoo!, and driven by his own experience, he knew there must be a way to simplify the process. As a result, Sangha, which means community in Sanskrit, was designed with the idea to help parents stay organized by simplifying everyday tasks concerning their child’s school life.
How Does it Work?
Sangha can be downloaded as an app onto any Apple or Android device, making it accessible to everyone. It allows parents to send private, two-way messaging with school staff, make payments, sign and fill in forms and much more. Once signed up to the app, parents can then receive notifications for school trips or reminders for upcoming events. It has never been easier for parents to stay up-to-date!
The best way to find out more is to book a demo. This way we can show you everything Sangha has to offer, whilst answering any questions you might have. You can either book this from our website or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also follow us on Twitter to find out more about our upcoming Sangha webinars.
